#9 – Magic Hat Brewing Co.
From The Bottle: Not Quite Pale Ale - The ancient ritual of brewing a distinctly rich and flavorful beer is a performance to behold. Our mysterious melange of time-honored ingredients harmonize with chaotic chemistry, humble patience, and blind faith to create unique beers to share in the rousing company of kindred spirits. Cheers!
4.60% ABV
Appearance: Pours a clear golden/orange color. At first, a bubbly white head rises to a finger, but recedes to nothing in a second. No lacing to speak of.
Smell: Artificial apricots, sugar, fake sweetener. Light pale malt and grain. The little hops that are present are very soapy and dishwater like.
Taste: Grainy pale malts. Prickly apricot that tastes like artificial flavoring. Very sweet, and kind of like perfume as well.
Drinkablity: A light body and prickly carbonation. Not hard to drink for what it is. Though I am board, and want something else have way through. There is a rough, prickly character throughout that is odd. Part carbonation, part apricot I guess. This seems very artificial, like fruit syrupy was added.
Rating: 6/10 - This Beer is okay. I am glad that I tried it, The top of the bottle was cool too, good addition to my collection. Good Summer beer.
